LOVE UNARMED

Our approach

More room to choose.
Less need to be right.

Love Unarmed explores what happens between feeling something and acting on it. A little humour to recognise the moment. A little space to choose your next move.

Who’s behind it?

Love Unarmed is an English-language project by Andreas Hurtig, part of Haka Loss. The tools and stories are educational and reflective. Love Unarmed is not a therapy service.

We use AI in creative production, including the imagery. The pattern names, examples and prompts are editorial material, not findings from a clinical assessment. Examples are fictional unless explicitly stated otherwise.

The ideas we draw on.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) includes noticing thoughts, being present and acting in line with chosen values. Those ideas inform our invitation to notice a familiar reaction before choosing what to do.

Read the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science introduction to ACT ↗

The Gottman Institute describes ways to raise a concern without attacking someone’s character. We draw on that distinction when inviting a specific observation or request.

Our exercises are original adaptations for everyday reflection. They have not been clinically validated, and these organisations have not endorsed Love Unarmed. We do not promise that an exercise will change your relationship or another person’s behaviour.

Openness can have boundaries.

Looking at your own choices does not mean accepting responsibility for someone else’s cruelty, intimidation, control or violence. You do not owe someone vulnerability, access or another conversation.

The guided tool is for everyday disagreements you feel safe reflecting on. If you feel afraid, pressured or unsafe, prioritise safety and support from someone you trust or an appropriate local service. You can leave this exercise at any point. If danger is immediate, contact local emergency services.

A useful next move can be a boundary, a pause, asking for support or choosing not to engage. Both people remain responsible for their own behaviour.

Your words stay with you.

Text you enter in Same Fight, New Move stays in the memory of this browser tab. We do not send it to a server or an AI service, and we do not save it to browser storage. Refreshing or leaving the tool can discard it. Use “Save my plan” if you want your own copy.

A saved or printed plan may contain personal details. Choose where to keep it. On a shared device, clear your draft when you finish; downloaded files remain until you remove them.

The site uses Haka Loss’s existing usage statistics. These record page visits, broad country/device/referral categories, and basic tool events: started, plan created and optional usefulness feedback. They never include your written reflections, selected pattern, or chosen intention. Raw IP addresses and full browser identifiers are not stored by this statistics feature; a daily changing pseudonymous identifier is used to estimate visits. Hosting providers also process requests to serve the website.

The statistics script respects the browser’s Do Not Track setting. If you choose “This helped” or “Not yet”, that answer is sent as a simple event. These counts are early product feedback, not proof of effectiveness.

What can I use today?

The pattern library and the current Same Fight, New Move tool are free. No account, payment or partner enrolment is required. Any future paid experience will have its contents and full price clearly stated before purchase.
